Manuscript Guidelines

If you are interested in submitting your work to us, please read and follow the guidelines below. Please note that we do not accept submissions via fax.

Ambassador Books publishes both adult and children’s books.

For our adult books, our mission is to celebrate the spiritual dimension of this world by witnessing to the reality of the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Ambassador Children’s Books aims to foster in children the knowledge that they are precious to the Lord while encouraging a friendship with Him that will last for a lifetime.

Every adult and children's book we publish must fulfill this mission.

All manuscript submissions should include a query letter containing a description of your book idea and a book proposal.

In the proposal please tell us about the following:

  1. The book.
  2. Yourself and your qualifications to write this book.
  3. The market for your book:
    1. What similar books are already published?
    2. How have those books sold?
    3. How is your book idea different from and better than these books?
    4. Additional markets your books could sell to, aside from retail bookstores?
  4. Endorsements or potential endorsements for the book if applicable. (Not needed for children's books.)
  5. Include an outline of the book, synopsis, and three sample chapters. For children’s picture books we prefer to see a complete manuscript.

Regarding children's books, if you have sample illustrations, please send them. Do not send original artwork.

We require a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) for reply or return of your manuscript. If a SASE is not included, we are unable to reply to your query. Please be sure there is adequate postage as we cannot return your work if there is not. Also note: Ambassador Books will not be held responsible for lost or misdirected manuscripts, photos, or artwork, so please do not submit originals.

We regret that we are not able to give the status of a proposal, since we receive so many manuscripts and inquiries each day. It can take up to four months for a response. We appreciate your patience and thank you for considering us as a possible publisher of your work.
