It's Christmas Again!

It's Christmas Again!, a modern parable about a time when everyone celebrates December 25th but no one remembers why.
This children's book is the collaborative effort of Michael P. Riccards, president of Fitchburg State College, who has written extensively on the presidency and on the papacy; and Father Richard P. Lewandowski, a campus minister, who has written three previous children's books.
It's Christmas Again! is fully illustrated in color by Kathryn Delisle. Ms. Delisle worked with Lewandowski on both Babci's Angel and Shooting Stardust.
It's Christmas Again! takes place in the present day. A little boy asks the question, "Why do we celebrate December 25th?" But no one knows the answer. It seems that people continue the traditions of buying presents and decorating trees-but the reason for the tradition has been forgotten. A group of children and their teacher try to discover what initiated the tradition. They are unsuccessful, until the children overhear a group of animals talking "people talk."
It seems the animals are the only creatures that remember that December 25th is celebrated as the birthday of Jesus. Hidden away in their barn is a long-forgotten manger, which every year the animals use to recount the birth of Jesus.
How the children and their community learn the facts behind Christmas is a fascinating, fun, and visually stunning tale.
Recommended for children ages 5-8.
